About Atlantic City High School

Atlantic City High School was founded in 1896 and has been a cornerstone of education in the community. Established to accommodate the growing population, the school has undergone significant renovations to meet student needs. Over the years, it has developed a rich history in academics, arts, and athletics, reflecting the diverse spirit of the community and fostering an inclusive environment for student growth.

Today, Atlantic City High School has a diverse student population of approximately 1,500 learners from various cultural backgrounds. The school offers a comprehensive curriculum, including Advanced Placement, Dual Credit and vocational programs, all aimed at catering to students' interests and aspirations. Dedicated educators work to ensure that every student receives a quality education focused on critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

In addition to its academic offerings, Atlantic City High School features a vibrant athletics program and extracurricular activities. Students can participate in sports such as football, basketball, and swimming, promoting teamwork and individual achievement. Various clubs and organizations allow students to explore their passions, ensuring they develop skills that contribute to their overall success and well-roundedness.

Our Mascot

Atlantic City High School school mascot was known as the Knights until 1934. Then, in 1935, the yearbook displayed a clipper ship on it. Several years later, the Vikings name emerged.
